Utilization review
Medical costs are a financial burden on most households. Fredonia Regional employs a full-time utilization review nurse who assists the physicians, the hospital and patients by managing the cost of healthcare provided at FRH.
Our professional staff maintains a monitoring system for the use and delivery of our services in order to control costs to patients. Criteria and physician orders are evaluated for medical necessity and to ensure that guidelines for admissions are met through federal regulations.
